We received a heartwarming letter from a teacher this week. Thought we would share it with you! š
āHi everyone! My name is Triveni.
I have been a teacher for more than 10 years now. I always believed that teaching and preparing the next generation of future leaders and thinkers is where my passion lies. I was doing a fantastic job and I was very happy with myself. However, after doing it for a significant amount of time, I started yearning for something more. I wanted to do things differently, but I didnāt know how.
As a teacher, I've listened to tales for years about how one must work hard for years in this field before getting a promotion or a substantial raise. I knew I did not want to belong to this group. I've always aspired to become a teacher who is revered and appreciated by society as well as by their students. Simply put, I aspired to be the "š„Best Teacher in the World." And boy, was I adamant about achieving my goal.
After weeks of intensive internet study and hours spent listening to the titans of the education industry, I came to the conclusion that upskilling is the secret to enhancing the value of my teaching portfolio. Upskilling of teachers is so closely tied to effective teaching.
āSo, I immediately got myself enrolled into a teacher upskilling courseš. This also helped me get the right mentorship that helped me visualise the career I wanted for myself. It helped bring innovative pedagogy into my teaching, gave me confidence and helped me emerge as a leader among equals.
Soon, my school administration took notice of my work and the appreciation that I received from the parents. And after a few months, I received a promotion letter appointing me as the head mistress of the junior section.
This certification also allows me to apply for teaching jobs abroadš. I cannot wait to exploreāļø new countries and cultures while earning a living doing my favourite activity!
I hope every teacher out there takes a moment to think about their career goals and upskills themselves so enjoy this beautiful career and its benefits thoroughly.
