On 23rd January 2021, EducationToday.co successfully hosted the 8th National Conference on K-12 Leadership which focussed on the potential of modern-day schools and the preparation of 21st-century teachers.
The conference was organised at The Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore. With an attendance of over 350+ delegates, 150+Individual School Decision makers, Chairman/Directors, and Principals from all over India.
The conference also witnessed two panels to discuss the policies, practices, and potential threats to school operations in the country and the handling of school finances and processes during crises as a routine.
The panel poured in their views on expectations tied up with the country’s education sector and the growing need for tech-friendly and skilled teachers in the modern era. Talking about the lack of skilled teachers in the education sector as well as ever-growing massive teacher vacancies in the field, Rishabh Khanna, CEO and Co-Founder of Suraasa introduced Suraasa and its mission to bridge this gap. He said,
“Because every school cares for having good teachers because every school wants the best teachers for their learners because we want the best individuals to come in teaching—Suraasa wants to attract youth to become teachers and create a world where teachers really grow. We want to identify teachers who need growth and keep providing them with the desired growth. Let’s make teaching more fulfilling and make teachers rockstars.”
The Conference made the academic fraternity richer with knowledge and gave the attendees a lot to think about. It offered opportunities to interact with educationists from all over India who deliberated upon and covered topics around the issues of teacher growth and perception of the modern education system.
What went without saying, of course, was that teachers have an impact beyond the education community. Each of them eventually touches the lives of millions — no, billions. And that is exactly what we at Suraasa, are proud of being a part of.
